This past weekend we went to the cabin with my parents, my niece Lori, her husband Ryan and their son Jase who is just a few months younger than JR. We had a great time to say the least. Besides just hanging out with family we also went up to spread my sister's ashes at the base of a cherry tree in the meadow. This was an emotional time, but we know Shawnii enjoyed it and would have loved to have seen the kids all playing around.
Roasting marshmallows and making smores. The top right is my sister's tree. The bottom right is my brother Steve's tree. My parents and Lori planted this apple tree, and placed his ashes here 11 years ago. 
Some of the fun things we did. Going to the creek, which is way too high and fast to go in. Playing games in the yard. Ryan is the lacrosse champ! And we went golfing. This is my favorite thing to do up there. Not because I'm good- no no...I hit the ball about 1 out of 5 attempts. But it is BEAUTIFUL there around 7 in the evening. I'll get more pics of it this summer for you to see.
