Austin recieving his trophy for 1st place
Like most proud family members we painted up the Yukon for our All Star
In the shade of the tent we played pass the babies, Joe with Emily, JR by his side, and Cindy with Aubrie.
Melissa bought us all these team T-shirts. JR looked so cute in his.
WOW! What an ending. Spanish Springs beat Silver State (from the North Valleys) again 11 to 1 which made them eligible to go to regionals in Scottsdale AZ, but unfortunately not enough players were able to attend, so Silver State got to go in their place. We are all really hoping if we are in this position again next year we will get to travel.
But that is not even the best part. The best part is that Austin hit the only homerun of the tournament. It was in the third inning on Saturday, he hit the ball solid and took off, before he got to first it hit the fence line and the outfielders never stood a chance. That's when Austin (in his words) "jumped on his horse" and took off. He slid into home plate a split second before the ball touched the catchers mitt. Everyone erupted into cheers, I started crying. It was wild! What a proud moment for us all.
This was a perfect ending to a perfect season. We hate to see it go, but are so ready and excited for next year.
