Happy 4th, 2013

We had a great weekend at our traditional 4th of July stompin' grounds in Taylorsville, CA.

The festivities start with the pancake breakfast. This weekend was extra fun for Austin because he brought his friend up. It was great for him to have someone his own age to play with...I guess at 12 you'd say "hang out with" not "play"... too cool for "playing."

The second event is the parade. This is a VERY small town and if you live in the town, you're in the parade. If you don't live in the town but want some fun 4th of July attention, then feel free to join in.

The third event is the Rodeo. We never miss this great tradition. Austin is dudded up and ready to pick up some cowgirls. Unfortunately, the rodeo itself was not very fun... bad entertainment. But we got to see the events and do so with all the fam, so that was worth it.

Look out Taylorsville there are some new cowgirls in town! (Emily had a cute 4th of July dress, and Aubrie had a great shirt to go with her skirt... but if there is a chance these girls can get naked or in swimsuits they will take it. Luckily they stayed in the latter)

Golfing is another tradition that was kept alive this weekend. A fun round with Joe, Melissa, her boyfriend, Austin, JR and me. I love to watch Joe and Melis play. They are so good and have a great time getting to play golf together.

If you're at the cabin then you can bet on fishing at some point. We packed the kids and Grandpa's up and headed to a nearby lake to catch some sunfish. It was perfect each kid got to catch at least 6 fish.

This was Austin's friend's weekend of firsts: 1st time away from family. 1st time "camping" if you can call it that since we were at the cabin. 1st time fishing and catching!!!

Best Buds!
